Maitre Choux. What's not to love. Hand crafted, pretty, detailed, Choux parcels of deliciousness. It's no wonder I've been desperate to get my hands on some of these precious lovelies. Maitre Choux is the brainchild of Joakim Prat (previously head pastry chef for Joel Robuchon in the UK and at The Greenhouse), to sum it up briefly it's a London pastry shop with a Three Michelin Star experienced Chef.
The girls (particularly Gabriella) have a sweet tooth and are sort of like little magpies. To them everything that glitters is gold. The very Ity bity shop induced such excitement in the girls, well, rows of colourful, delicately decorated eclairs admittedly excited me too. The display just makes you want to try everything. So we tried a very colourful selection chosen by Gabriella.
Each eclair looks like a piece of art. Gorgeous to look at, gorgeous to eat. Maitre Choux is located in South Kensington, a very brief walk from The Natural History Museum or The V&A Museum.
A little bit of advice, get there early. The eclairs have a habit of being sold out half way through the afternoon particularly on the weekends.
