Ice Cream at Fortum & Mason's The Parlour
Do you think we enjoyed our ice-cream? I think the picture above says it all. We've eaten so much ice-cream this summer. I have a sweet tooth so I need no convincing, Glenn will never say no to food, it's Gabriella's snack of choice (can't believe i'm calling ice cream a snack, a little worrying, yes I know!) and Lucia is slowly adapting to this very cold, sweet obession of ours.
Yet again the weather has changed and we have been once again enjoying indoor pleasures. I wanted to have a wander around Fortnums, I'm currently seeking inspiration for our new home. I'm actively seeking a new tea set so where better to ponder teapots and teacups? Of course there was bribery involved, the company of two toddlers and a man homeware shopping came in exchange for ice-cream at Fortnum's Parlour.
Wonderful, exciting and a just a bit magical. It's every little person's dream. And, more than perfectly suitable for bigger people too. Makes a lovely setting to meet a girlfriend or two, or a perfect place for an informal business meeting and I can quite imagine coming here with my mum for an afternoon after a spot of light shopping. The menu is just a delightful as the setting. The children's menu is really creative. Gabriella chose The Hansel and Gretal, huge for a 3 year old but she managed to eat it all. Where on earth does she put it all!
Everything is amazing and they do a lovely selection of teas. Fantastically British!
