Dare I say, Gabriella's favourite colour is black. A little worrying to me at first but i've since realised that it's perfectly fine to have girl who is happy to embrace what she actually likes and not just what her friends like. Who are we to gender stereotype? It's quite refreshing that she likes a variety and isn't just stuck on pink, when it comes to fashion we can really experiment and embrace seasonal colours.
Since the weather has changed and now that we have moved back to Notting Hill we spend the majority of our afternoons in Hyde Park walking, playing and having picnics. Morning outfit choosing has become something of a ritual in our house, one of the perks of having girls. On Friday we went for a mid afternoon walk in search of the gold statue in Hyde Park. I think Gabriella picked the perfect outfit. Honestly, I had no influence, she even chose the hat.
Currently Gabriella is really into her lemon yellow jeggings. Not easy to pull off and get right. Fresh and stylish, the yellow jeggings can be worn in many ways. They look great with a white cotton top, or colour blocked with other pastel colours or a fun slogan t-shirt. It's true, yellow can be a colour which is hard to get right, it has to be that right yellow for that particular garment otherwise it can look a little less chic. Many people are afraid of yellow and stay away from it in fear that it washes them out. Why? It's a great colour. More people can carry it off than they think. Its always been a go to summer colour for me and it's now become one of my favourite summer colours for the girls.
